Business-focused Demand Planning Manager to Mars Nordics

We are now looking for a Demand Planning Manager for our Nordic business to join our dedicated team! In this role, you will be able to have an impact on the business as the critical link between sales, marketing, logistics and finance.

Role

Functionally, the role is accountable for supporting the delivery of the business unit plan by ensuring excellent product availability for the Nordic markets. This means supporting customer service levels at lowest stock holding costs.

As a line manager, you are responsible for managing, motivating, developing and supporting the nine dedicated and competent associates in the demand planning team, the product supply team and the co-pack planner.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure robust product and co-pack flows by supporting the team in mitigating supply risks and maintaining optimal stock levels, including regular and structured communication with all factories and suppliers
  • Drive collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Finance to secure high level of forecast accuracy on short, medium and long-term perspective
  • Proactively support the relationship with customers to align on forecasting and phasing of key events and activities
  • Facilitate periodical DMR meeting as part of S&OP+ cycle and drive continuous improvement of the DMRs
  • Lead a high performing demand planning and product supply team to achieve functional excellence, collaborative ways of working and high levels of associate engagement
  • Implement defined/aligned Mars Nordics Talent Strategy and achieve defined success KPIs

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification

Has as a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics or equivalent.

Knowledge/Experience

  • A solid understanding of supply chain and customer requirements with ideally a few years of experience from a planner role with strong analytical, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Fluent in English and ideally one of the Nordic languages; advanced skills in MS Excel and previous experience from JDA/Apollo, SAP or other Supply Chain planning tools.
  • Previous experience from FMCG, retail, pharma or other related fields is a big plus
  • Developed capabilities in leading and motivating a team.
