IT Manager to Svar Life Science in Malmö

ABOUT THE JOB

Svar is increasing investment in IT systems and is looking for a hands-on, pragmatic person to take IT management and automating company processes to the next level.

The Svar IT strategy is to outsource the IT infrastructure and support functions and this new position is a combination of an onsite IT Service Manager, Vendor Manager, and Project Manager with responsibility for defining the IT strategy and budgets.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
• Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
• Management of internal staff and external vendors
• Accomplishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective action
• Leading, organizing, and coordinating multiple work activities
• Delivering on-time, on-budget projects with a high degree of user satisfaction and quality
• Life cycle systems design and development
• System implementation including conversion, data reconciliation, user training, and documentation
• Preparation of business cases for the implementation of system investments

ABOUT YOU

You are experienced with the principles and techniques of project management, including developing and tracking complex project plans as well as managing risks, scope and resources.

You have the ability to identify and evaluate alternative solutions, costs and benefits and must be used to build coalitions among the various stakeholders, bridging the gap between the IT department and other teams within the company.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English), and can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

You see yourself as an integral player in business strategy and am used to create and present executive summaries to steering committees and other executive level leadership.

If you have experience from a regulated industry it is of high value, and life science industry experience a big plus.

You will report to Brian Boyd, Vice President Q&A.
